I took Atti in for his by-weekly blood work on Wednesday and yesterday Dr. Dias called with the results. All of Atti's levels are back in the NORMAL range including his protein which is at 5.8 and when we started his treatment he was only at 2.4!! The only thing we need to monitor close is his liver count. He is still on all of his meds and special diet but are lowering his steroid dose for the next 6 weeks to see if will help the liver count. No blood work will be needed until after the 6 weeks. Doctor and her staff are all amazed at his recovery and wanted me to let you all know that much of the recovery is due to all of your love and prayers. Thanks, Praise and Cheers!!
On a side note from this wonderful news...We have started a recycling drive for Attikus to help raise some money for his medical bills while doing our part in "Living Green." If you would like to partake in this fundraiser for Atti it would be greatly appreciated! We know most of you who will be reading this live in a different state than we do, but if you could take in your recyclables to be cashed in that would mean so much. You can then send the fundraising money and we will put it into Atti's account we've created for him. Those of you who live near, if you can save your recyclables and call Matt or I when you are ready for them to be picked up or drop them off at our house that too would mean so much. Every bit helps!!!
